SEHWAG IN BANGLADESH TRI-NATION TOURNAMENT

Indians started the new year with tri-nation tournament in Bangladesh.On 5th january it was India vs Sri Lanka again after the bilateral series between them.

As always Veeru provided a good start by hitting 47 runs from 31 balls which included nine boundaries.He was in a great touch but unfortunately got out in Welegedera's ball.Indians made 279 runs in 50 overs with the contribution of middle order.the Lankans were up for the task and Thilan Samaraweera took the Lankans to a victory by scoring an unbeaten century.

In the second match against Bangladesh,Indians were made to chase a target of 297 runs. Sehwag started well by hiiting 2 boundaries but was run out at 13 runs from 8 balls.It was young Delhi dasher Virat Kohli and Captain cool MSD who took India to a first win in the tournament.

Virender Sehwag was rested for the next two matches in the tournament.Indians won those two matches and got qualified for the Finals of the tournament and it was between India and Sri Lanka.

India batted first in the finals and they lost some early wickets.Though the wickets was tumbling at one end, Virender Sehwag was unstoppable.Viru dint consider the fact that it was a good pitch for bowlers and played some awesome shots to make 42 runs from 27 balls which included 7 fours.Raina too chipped in and made a century to take the total tem score to 245 runs.But the Sri Lankans were in great form and they completely ouplayed the Indians and won the finals of the Tri-Nation Tournament.
