INDIA BANGLADESH SECOND TEST 2010

Indian Skipper MS Dhoni returned to the squad for the second test at Mirpur against Bangladesh.Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat.Bangladesh's batsmen couldn't handle the heat of Indian bowlers and were allout were 233 runs.

Asusually our Viru was blazing away  and reached to yet another half century and got out in Sohadat's ball. Virender scored 56 runs from 63 balls.With Batting Maestro Tendulkar and The Wall Dravid scoeing centuries India reached a mammoth total of 554 runs and declared the innings.

Bangladesh again crumbled against Indian bowling except for Tamim Iqbal who scored 151 runs with 18 Fours and 3 sixes.Tamim Iqbal showed good solidarity and he was one of the cause for sending Indians out of the 2007 World Cup.

Indians won the match by 10 wickets and sealed off the series 2-0.Zaheer Khan was Man of the Match for his 10 wicket haul and he was also the Man of the Series for his excellent performance with the ball.

VEERU BHAI IN FIRST TEST AGAINST BANGLADESH

After the tri-nation tournament,Indians were raring to go for the test series against the Bangladeshis'.

The magical Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was having back spasms and was ruled out for the first test at Chittagong.The Indian side was led by the Sultan of Multan and had to bat first.
Asusual, Sehwag played his natural game and reached half-century.He scored 52 runs from 51 balls which contained 9 fours in it.But the opposition skipper Shakib-Al-Hasan picked up the wicket of Veeru when he was at 52 runs.After Sehwag's wicket,Indians crumbled but batting maestro Sahin Tendulkar came to the rescue by scoring an unbeaten century.Indians reached a total of 243 runs in the first innings.Bangladesh was also up to the task and they scored 242 runs in the first innings.

In the second innings also Sehwag had a good start and scored 45 runs,but was again out to a ball from the opposition Captain Shakib.Contribution from the other batsmen helped India to set a target of 414 runs.

Bangladesh looked very tough and gave a good fight, but in the end they were on the losing side.Indians won the First test match by 113 runs and led series 1-0.

SEHWAG IN BANGLADESH TRI-NATION TOURNAMENT

Indians started the new year with tri-nation tournament in Bangladesh.On 5th january it was India vs Sri Lanka again after the bilateral series between them.

As always Veeru provided a good start by hitting 47 runs from 31 balls which included nine boundaries.He was in a great touch but unfortunately got out in Welegedera's ball.Indians made 279 runs in 50 overs with the contribution of middle order.the Lankans were up for the task and Thilan Samaraweera took the Lankans to a victory by scoring an unbeaten century.

In the second match against Bangladesh,Indians were made to chase a target of 297 runs. Sehwag started well by hiiting 2 boundaries but was run out at 13 runs from 8 balls.It was young Delhi dasher Virat Kohli and Captain cool MSD who took India to a first win in the tournament.

Virender Sehwag was rested for the next two matches in the tournament.Indians won those two matches and got qualified for the Finals of the tournament and it was between India and Sri Lanka.

India batted first in the finals and they lost some early wickets.Though the wickets was tumbling at one end, Virender Sehwag was unstoppable.Viru dint consider the fact that it was a good pitch for bowlers and played some awesome shots to make 42 runs from 27 balls which included 7 fours.Raina too chipped in and made a century to take the total tem score to 245 runs.But the Sri Lankans were in great form and they completely ouplayed the Indians and won the finals of the Tri-Nation Tournament.
