SEHWAG FIREWORKS CONTINUES IN T20s

In the first T20 International at Nagpur, Sehwag scored 26 runs from 14 balls and gave a good start with his partner Gautam Gambhir.But the Indian middle order failed and they lost the match by 29 runs.Also the fielding has been worst in the match and the Indians ended up on the losing side.

In the second T20I at Mohali,Veeru scored his second T20I Fiifty by hitting 64 runs from 36 balls.This time Indian middle order capitalized on the start given by the openers Sehwag and Gambhir.Birthday boy Yuvraj Singh hit 60 runs from 25 balls.Atlast Indians managed to win comfortably with 6 wickets in hand.

Yuvraj was Man of the match for a brilliant Fifty and the three wickets taken by him.
T20I series was drawn level 1-1 and the trophy was shared between India and Sri Lanka.

SEHWAG CREATES HISTORY IN MUMBAI TEST

After an emphatic innings victory at Kanpur,the indians were fully charged up for the final Test at Mumbai.
Sri Lankans started their first innings on day 1 and ended up reaching a total of 393 runs.

 Virender Sehwag was in  awesome form and made an yet another double century on day 2.This helped India to reach 443/1 in just 79 overs.Sehwag is the only Indian batsman to have triple century against his name.That too he has two triple centuries to his tally equalling Brian Charles Lara's and Sir Don Bradman's record.

Day 3 of the Mumbai test was considered to be historic day in the cricketing history since Sehwag was on the verge of getting his 3rd triple ton.If he gets it, he would be the first batsman to do so in the history of cricket.
But the Sultan of Multan disappointed all the cricket fans and cricket experts by getting out at 293 in Muralidharan's ball.Finally the Indians sealed off the Test series with a innings victory in the Mumbai test also.

2.Made second fastest double ton in168 balls beating his own previous record which was in 182 balls.
3.Sehwag crossed 6000 runs in test cricket.It is the 3rd fastest by innings after Sunny Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar .
4.India crowned the NO 1 spot in the Test team.

SEHWAG SPARKLES IN KANPUR TEST

After a disappointing loss against the aussies in the ODIs, India started their campaign against Sri Lanka with the Tests.First test match held at Ahmadabad was drawn.

In the Second test at Kanpur,India won the toss and elected to bat.After a cautious start, Virender Sehwag and his Delhi team mate Gautam Gambhir went on to make a 233 run partnership for the first wicket.Sehwag hit 133 runs from 122 balls and was out in  'smiling assasin' Muttaih Murlidaran's over.

The momentum at which Sehwag scored the century and the centuries made by Gautam Gambhir and Rahul Dravid  helped India to achieve the highest total(642 Runs) in Tests .After a fabulous performance by all the  indian bowlers, India won the Kanpur Test by an Innings and 144 runs.Sreesanth was named  Man of the Match for his five wicket haul.
