VEERU BHAI IN FIRST TEST AGAINST BANGLADESH

After the tri-nation tournament,Indians were raring to go for the test series against the Bangladeshis'.

The magical Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was having back spasms and was ruled out for the first test at Chittagong.The Indian side was led by the Sultan of Multan and had to bat first.
Asusual, Sehwag played his natural game and reached half-century.He scored 52 runs from 51 balls which contained 9 fours in it.But the opposition skipper Shakib-Al-Hasan picked up the wicket of Veeru when he was at 52 runs.After Sehwag's wicket,Indians crumbled but batting maestro Sahin Tendulkar came to the rescue by scoring an unbeaten century.Indians reached a total of 243 runs in the first innings.Bangladesh was also up to the task and they scored 242 runs in the first innings.

In the second innings also Sehwag had a good start and scored 45 runs,but was again out to a ball from the opposition Captain Shakib.Contribution from the other batsmen helped India to set a target of 414 runs.

Bangladesh looked very tough and gave a good fight, but in the end they were on the losing side.Indians won the First test match by 113 runs and led series 1-0.
