SEHWAG HITS WORLD CUP CENTURY

After the ICC Cricket World Cup Opening Ceremony, the first World Cup match was played between India and Bangladesh on 19 th of Feb.Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first.Virender Sehwag started the World Cup with a classic boundary.
At end of fourth over the run rate was above 12.Running between the wickets was poor and Sachin was run out as Sehwag din't respomd to Sachin's call. But Viru compensated for his mistake by coming up with a wonderful knock of 175 runs in 140 balls.Sehwag hit 14 fours and 5 sixes. This was Viru's second century in the World Cup matches.
Virender Sehwag missed the chance of beating the record of former Indian Captain Saurav for the Highest Score in a World Cup match.Ganguly achieved this landmark by hitting 183* runs in the 1999 Word Cup against Sri Lanka.
Indians won the match by 87 runs and this wasn't a thumping win for them. The bowling attack need to pull up their socks, especially the pace bowling attack as they weren't up to the mark in the match against the Bangladeshis.
